What this string cannot do
It matches words people wrote about themselves. The engineer who shipped the exact system you need, and never updated their headline, does not appear in any version of it.
That gap is the whole reason I exist. I read what people built, not what they typed into a profile field two jobs ago.

Which search engines do these strings work in?
LinkedIn search, Google X-ray against LinkedIn or GitHub, and most ATS search boxes. Each has quirks, so the builder emits a slightly different string per target.
Why do my Boolean searches return the wrong people?
Almost always the OR groups are not parenthesised, so the engine reads the query differently from how you meant it. That is the specific mistake this builder removes.
Is Boolean search still worth learning?
Yes, for auditing. It is the only way to see exactly why a result appeared. Its limit is that it can only match words people wrote about themselves, which is why the strongest candidates are often unreachable by any string.
