Map the market before you promise a date

Most hiring plans are set before anyone checks whether the people exist. A talent map answers that in a day instead of after two months of empty pipeline.

Four answers you need before the role goes live

    Pool size at your bar

Not everyone with the title. The count of people who would actually pass your loop, split by seniority and location.

    Where they are grown

The companies and teams that train this skill. Knowing the four feeder orgs beats searching every company in the city.

    Movement

How often this group changes jobs and what the last two years looked like. A pool that never moves needs a different plan.

    What widening buys

Remote, hybrid, adjacent titles, one level down. I show what each change does to the number so the trade is explicit.

    Why I'm different

If there are 40 people on the planet who fit and 38 of them work at one company, no amount of sourcing effort fixes that. Better to know in week one.

I know this work before you brief me

Your brief tells me who you need now. Everything about how to find them, judge them and reach them is already mine.

I work where the hiring talk happens

No second tool to check. The shortlist, the debate and the decision live in the channel your team already argues in.

    Drafts, never surprise sends

I write the message under your name. You read it, edit it, send it. Where a habit runs on its own you pick Autopilot or Ask approval.

Follow up that does not get dropped

Day three, day seven, the nudge to a hiring manager who has gone quiet. I keep the rhythm you would keep on a good week.

Your system of record stays the record

Notes, stages and rejections land back in the ATS you already pay for. I do not ask you to migrate anything.

What people ask about market maps

    What is talent mapping?

Talent mapping is the exercise of counting and locating the people who could do a role before you open it. Not a shortlist, a market view: how many exist at that level, which companies grow them, what they are paid now and how many moved recently. Done properly it tells you whether the hiring plan is possible before you promise a date on it.

How does the talent mapping process work here?

You describe the person in a sentence in the channel. I run the brief across the open web in parallel, count real profiles rather than modelled estimates, group them by company, level and location, and come back with the pool size plus what widening the brief buys you. No template to fill in, no spreadsheet to maintain.

How long does a map take?

Usually under an hour for a single role and market. You ask in the channel and read the answer the same morning.

How accurate is the pool size?

It is a count of real, sourced profiles I can show you, not a modelled estimate. You can open any of them and check the evidence.

Can I map a market before I have a job description?

Yes, and it is usually the better order. Describe the person in a sentence and the map will tell you which version of the role is actually fillable.

    Laidback

Ask me to map a role you are unsure about

Pool size, feeder companies and what widening the brief buys you.
