Do you get access to my LinkedIn account?
Each person connects their own network, opts in explicitly and can disconnect whenever they want. I use it to find paths, not to act as anyone or send anything from their account.
Can colleagues see each other's connections?
No. The team sees that a path exists and who to ask. Nobody gets a browsable copy of a colleague's contact list.
What if there is no warm path?
Then it is normal outreach and I say so. Most shortlists have paths to somewhere between a third and a half of the names, which is already a lot of free reply rate.
