The interview gets booked while you are in another meeting

Scheduling looks like an easy problem right up until there are four interviewers, two time zones, a candidate who works full time and one person who never accepts an invite. Then it becomes the reason a good candidate accepts elsewhere.

Not a booking link. The coordination around it.

    Panels solved in one pass

Availability across every interviewer and the candidate, with time zones and stated preferences respected, then booked.

    Confirmations chased

The interviewer who never accepts gets nudged, then escalated in the channel. You hear about it before the candidate does.

    Reschedules absorbed

Somebody cancels an hour before, I find the next slot, tell everyone and move the record. No thread, no apology email you have to write.

    Feedback collected

After the interview I ask each panellist in the channel and write the outcome against the stage in your ATS.

    Why I'm different

Every extra day between interest and interview costs you candidates, and almost all of those days come from waiting on scheduling rather than deciding.

Built-in taste, not a general model pointed at hiring

Anyone can wire a model to a search box. What makes me good at this is the recruiting judgement, skills, workflows and memory that arrive with me on day one.

Different data, not the same resold list

Most tools query the same three databases. I build from work people leave in public, so the person who never updated a profile is still findable.

    Skills nobody wrote down

Nobody lists that they carried a migration or ran the on call rotation. I infer it from the work and then check it.

I widen the brief when it is too narrow

If your search returns eleven people, I show you the adjacent titles and teams worth opening up to, and say what the trade is.

    The people who never applied

Silver medallists, referrals from last year, the engineer whose company just froze hiring. I keep watching so you do not restart from zero.

What people ask about working in chat

Do I need Slack to use Laidback?

No. I run in Slack, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp. The work is identical, only the place you talk to me changes.

Does the ATS still get updated if we work in chat?

Yes. Chat is where the conversation happens. Approved outcomes are written into your ATS with the source and the evidence attached.

Will I be spammed with messages?

You set the rhythm. Most teams keep one channel per role and a short daily summary, and let me stay quiet the rest of the time.
